Advantages of Single-layer Glazed Tile Machines

Compared with traditional fired ceramic tiles, cement tiles and other roofing materials, the color steel glazed tiles produced by single-layer glazed tile machines have the following significant advantages:

1. Extremely high production efficiency

●Automated continuous production: Once the machine is debugged, it can carry out uninterrupted continuous production, with a production speed of 20 to 60 meters per minute, which is far beyond the traditional tile-making process.

●Immediate production and use: It only takes a few dozen seconds from the roll material to the formed tiles. The produced tiles can be directly transported to the construction site for installation, significantly shortening the project cycle.

2. Low production cost and good economic performance

●Raw material cost: Color steel coil is an industrialized product, and its cost is lower than that of the clay and fuel used for firing ceramic tiles.

●Labor cost: Automated production requires fewer operators (usually 1-2 people are enough), which reduces labor costs.

●Transportation and storage costs: The transportation and storage of raw materials in rolls are very convenient and take up little space. The produced tiles can be stacked and also save more space than terracotta tiles.

3. The product has excellent performance

●Light weight: The weight of color steel glazed tiles is only about 1/10 of that of traditional earthenware tiles, greatly reducing the load on the roof and lowering the cost of the building structure.

●High strength and impact resistance: The metal substrate endows it with excellent strength and toughness, enabling it to withstand certain hail impacts and trampling.

●Durable and corrosion-resistant: The substrate is typically an aluminized zinc steel plate, combined with high-quality colored coatings (such as PVDF, HDP), which offers excellent corrosion resistance and UV resistance, with a service life of over 20 to 30 years.

●Attractive appearance and rich colors: It can be produced in various colors and surface textures (such as imitation stone grain, wood grain, etc.), with a wide range of tile styles and excellent decorative effects.

4. Convenient for construction

●The tiles are lightweight and can be easily moved and installed by a single person.

●It usually adopts the methods of interlocking or screw fixation, featuring fast installation speed and short construction period.

5. High flexibility

●Multi-functional in one machine: Many single-layer glazed tile machines can produce various types and styles of tiles (such as European, Spanish, Roman, etc.) by replacing different forming rollers.

●Customized length: According to the roof requirements, the length of the tiles can be directly customized on the production line, reducing on-site cutting and lapping, avoiding waste, and improving waterproof performance.

Production operation process

1. Threading and guiding

●Manually unfold the head of the color steel plate coil and pass it through the leveling mechanism and all the forming rollers in sequence. The leveling mechanism is used to eliminate the bending stress of the coil material and ensure that the sheet material entering the forming roller is straight.

●This process requires patience and attention to detail to ensure that the boards are centered and do not deviate.

2. Start up for trial production

●Start the main unit and run it at a low speed.

●Let the sheet slowly pass through all the rollers and observe its forming process.

●Check the initially formed tiles: Is the curvature full? Are there any scratches on the board surface? Is the edge wrinkled?

3. Parameter fine-tuning and finalization

●Based on the effect of the tiles during the trial production, make fine adjustments to the roller clearance, feeding guidance device, etc.

●It may be necessary to make several repeated adjustments until the shape and size of the produced tiles fully comply with the standards.

4. Fixed-length cutting setting

●Set the required cutting length of the tiles on the control computer or PLC.

●Adjust the operation of the automatic shearing machine to ensure it is synchronized with the main unit and accurately cuts the tiles at the set length.

5. Full-speed continuous production

●After all parameters have been debugged, switch the machine to the automatic operation mode to increase the normal production speed.

The main tasks of the operators have become:

●Inspection: Observe whether the equipment operates smoothly and if there are any abnormal noises.

●Random inspection: Regularly take samples of the produced tiles and use tools such as a tape measure to check whether the dimensions like length and height meet the requirements.

●Material receiving and stacking: Remove the cut tiles one by one from the discharge rack, place wooden strips at the bottom, and stack them neatly to prevent the paint surface from being scratched.
